      Installation

      Unzip the file FFpatch_V1_data001.zip into your
      Sierra/RedBaron3D/data directory. Unzip the other files into the
      Sierra/RedBaron3D/shellpat directory.

      Installation for use with VonTom's Campaign Manager

    * Create a directory named FFpatch in the
      Sierra/RedBaron/3Dcmbeta10/patches/
          o for example the file path should look like
            C:/Sierra/RedBaron3D/cmbeta10/patches/ffpatch/

    * Unzip the FFpatch_V1_data001.zip file into the directory
      C:/Sierra/RedBaron3D/cmbeta10/patches/ffpatch/

    * Create a directory named shellpat in the ffpatch directory.
          o for example the file path should look like
            C:/Sierra/RedBaron3D/cmbeta10/patches/ffpatch/shellpat/

    * Unzip the remaining files into this directory.

      Important

      Please note that some of the changes included in this patch may
      adversely affect campaigns in progress (in short, there are no
      guarantees). This patch is in no way supported or endorsed by
      Sierra or Dynamix. It is an unofficial patch intended purely to
      enhance everyone's enjoyment of the game. The patch is intended
      for use with Red Baron 3D. It is recommended that before
      installing this patch players should move the original except.dat,
      pilots.dat, and squadron.dat files to a different folder so that
      the patch does not overwrite them. The original files should be
      placed back in the Sierra\RedBaron3D\data folder when installing
      future official updates. If the original files are lost or
      overwritten, the game may have to be re-installed in order to
      successfully update to a newer version.

      FFpatch Trivia

      The Flanders Fields patch comprises 2531 files of which 2427 are
      in the shellpat folder. Uncompressed the patch consists of 22.7
      Mb's of files. Compressed in zip format this becomes approx 5.2 Mb's.

      Download the acspecs.dat files that makes the Bristols and
      Strutters appear.

      *WARNING* : the files in this zip are incompatible with MMP and
      the current incarnation of the FMGOF / EM patch. Only download and
      install these files into your shellpat ( or
      cmbeta10/FFpatch/shellpat ) directory if you arent using the FMGOF
      patch or you are not a user of MMP. These are the same files used
      in UOP3.0, authored by Sygrod.
