PL2 terrain and PL objects combination set ------------------------------------------ This download includes the following, all bundled together in three .VOL files (3dfall.vol, 3dwinter.vol and 3dpatch.vol) for easy install: 1. Promised Land "PL2" style Glide terrain (created by Kessler and the Promised Land) for Red Baron 3D compiled by Skidmark from contributions by DeltaK and Dark4ces. 2. Promised Land Object pack with PL objects, skies and effects. Thanks to Skidmark for putting this package together! Note! The "dromelites" and "new rivers" are not included in the VOL set. They will still have to be added as separate patches. Skidmarks own comments, compiled from various posts in forums: " 3 years of hunting down the files in patches and pieces, thanks mostly to DeltaK and Dark4ces for most of them, correcting some filenames, filling in the missing pieces, getting rid of some seam problems, getting them complete and putting up for D/L. Now I have organized them into a stand-alone "PL2/PL combo terrain/effects" VOL set. The VOL set contains not only the PL2 terrain but also palette control files and the best of sky, clouds, fire, smoke, and OBJECTS (as in the OTE/PL combo) for RB3D. It seems to even look better and run smoother than the previous PL2 terrain individual file patches, if that's possible. These are made with the large size terrain tiles (256x256 and 128x128)." Installation Instructions: ------------------------- Unzip to a temporary working folder then place the 3 VOL files in the "DATA\3Dpatch" folder. Of course, you should save copies of your original "3DPatch" VOL files! If you have Von Tom's Campaign Manager (CM11), you can use that to install/uninstall the patch: REMOVE any patches and/or files from 3dpatch. Create "PL2PL" folder in your "CM11\Patches" folder. Create "3DPatch" folder in your CM11\PL2PL folder. Place the 3 VOL files in "CM11\Patches\PL2PL\3DPatch". Make sure you put copies of the original stock .VOL files in the "CM11\rbbackup\data\3dpatch" folder! Add the patch following the usual CM11 procedure.
