Hi,
a few months ago, we posted about a project we were working on. We didn't really get much response, but we figured we've made enough progress since then to get more attention.

Visit http://tinyurl.com/flyingsamurai (shortlink to the old address) for a video and some in-game screen shots.

We're trying to recruit new people; aside from modelers, texture artists, and historians, we seek flight model testers who will help us fine-tune the physics model (joystick support, 3 axes), and beta testers.

A little more simulation geek oriented info: except for mission types fully configurable (mission type frequencies, squadrons, pilots, airfields, maps, front position, all of that with a time dependency, ie. airfields move, pilots might transfer, etc., and awards, ranks), contains career mode and single mission, a huge terrain (500x400 km, real map) cities and roads planned, as well as vegetation. Network mode under development. Only three real concerns: probably won't have rivers on the map, probably no landings/take-offs (you can take off and land, but it doesn't really feel very good), and physical engine (almost done)/AI (in progress) are untested by anyone outside the project. Anyway, more information available on our page, has detailed info for each position!

Project is due in April (official and strict deadline), any help is welcome!

Even if you don't want to participate, any comments are welcome..
thanks

Hi Jan,

good news. It looks like you have invested your time into the project wisely. I have put up the news on the front page. I hope this helps you finding people for beta testing.

I would help but for intense beta-testing one needs a lot of free time at hand. I do not have that right now. But I think there will be some people interested in helping with the project.

Cheers
