6th RFC Duxford Wing | |
Based in the UK, the Duxford Wing draws it`s membership from around the world, with members from the USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, Japan, Sweden, France, Belgium, Austria, Brazil and of course the United Kingdom. Our aims are clear and your orders strict - "you will enjoy yourself"!
No. 10 Squadron, Royal Naval Air Service
No. 10 RNAS, the "Black Flight," is a historically based squadron operational in Dawn of Aces' Historical Arena. We specialise in Scenarios Light and other historical events. Dawn of Aces historical events are meant as realistic simulations of WWI air operations and combat.
27th Pursuit Squadron | |
DoA's 27th Pursuit Squadron has been in operation for over a year.
60th RFC "Bishop's Boys"
The Bishop's Boys are a group of pilots (or at least virtual pilots :) who enjoy playing Interactive Magic's Dawn of Aces.
94th Aero Squadron | |
The 94th Aero Squadron was one of the first American fighter squadrons to see combat service in World War 1. Though America was late coming into the war as far as air fighting was concerned, they succeeded in contributing greatly to it's outcome with such personages as Eddie Rickenbacker and Raoul Lufberry. Both men were members of the 94th, "Hat in the Ring" Aero Squadron which was based in Toul/France, just 18 miles from the German border.
99THASTAG | |
The 99th Aggressors was formed on Dec 9, 1999 at 9pm EST. We are currently active in Dawn of Aces and a growing presence in Aces High. The pilots of 99th A.S.T.A.G are a diverse group whose main purpose is to have fun in online games while respecting the rules of each specific game they are playing.
US 103rd Aero Squadron | |
It is with the utmost respect that we honor those that flew and supported the 103rd in the real war when we name our Dawn of Aces squadron after that unit. Our primary mission, in the on line simulation, is to try to relive some of the history of that era, learn what it was like to fly the aircraft of the time, interact with people with similar interests from all over the world, and have some fun doing it.
Arctic Crusaders | |
The Arctic Crusaders were originally formed with members from Alaska. They have members now from Australia, England, New Zealand and are growing rapidly. We play and fight with honour and above all have fun.
Dead Sticks Squadron | |
The goal of any air combat sim squadron should be, in our eyes, to add to the entertainment value of the game. If a squadron doesn't accomplish that, it isn't doing it's job correctly.
Death, Inc. Squadron | |
We don't fly together as much anymore, and we seem to have lost a few more members, but I'm damn proud to have flown with every member of Death Incorporated.
Firehawks Squadron | |
Join your fellow Fire Hawks, twice a week to create terror in the skies. The idea is to fly as a group, build up camaraderie, and esprit de corps ...
Flying Boodahs | |
The Flying Boodahs Dawn of Aces squadron.
Jasta 2 | |
In August 1916, the first few Jagdstaffeln were organized and sent to the Western Front. Jagdstaffeln literally translates to "hunting groups". These were the first German offensive combat patrols. Boelcke's unit was called Jasta 2.
Jasta 9 | |
The Jasta served mainly on the French Front, feasting on Spads, Nieuports and Caudrons. Hartmuth Baldamus was it's first real ace, scoring 13 times in a D II, in late 1916, and early 1917. The squadron never joined one of the well known Jagdgeschwaders (they all served on the more active British Front), but joined Jagdgruppe 5 (Jastas 1, 9, 41, 45, 50 and 66).
Jasta 18 | |
Jagdstaffel 18 was created to fulfill our need for more realism in Dawn of Aces. Our members really make an effort to land their kills, use realistic tactics and above all fly German scouts.
Jasta 26 | |
Jasta 26 - "Prisoners of Gravity" Dawn of Aces squadron.
Pig Stompers | |
Now that the calendar has rolled over into the 2000s, the Dawn of Aces Squadron has continued to grow and excel. With the New Year the DoA Stompers took their 5th straight Tour of Duty title and were named Top Squadron of the Year in a player voting poll. The Pig Stomper Squadron continues to grow and excel!
White Penguins | |
The White Penguins came into existence in March of 1917 as part of the American Expeditionary Force. Initially comprising a squadron of 20 eager young pilots, the White Penguins were scheduled to depart for England June 14th, their ultimate destination the skies over France. Once they got to England, they had lots of adventures, killed EVERYBODY, and basically saved the entire world. |
